Gungrave Gore marks the return of the Gungrave franchise after nearly 20 years (well, besides vr games), and today we learned that the sequel is coming just in time for Thanksgiving. A new cinematic trailer shown during Gamescom reveals its November release date, and it runs down the wacky cast of characters and why you’re ridding them of bullets.
The massive CG trailer sprinkles in a little in-game action, though you should check out this previous gameplay video For the better taste of over-the-top combat. We’re introduced to Grave’s allies who band together to take on a formidable quadruple of (probably) opponents in their quest to rule the world. Fans of PS2 games and the anime that originated from them will be pleased to know that the gore looks just as bang-on and absurd as they expect. Newcomers who enjoy bullets, blood, and madness are likely to feel right at home.
Gungrave GORE launches on November 22 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Pre-ordering gets you an exclusive Grim Reaper skin designed by a former Tango GameWorks designer ikumi nakamurawho is working on Gore as a character artist.
